You ever just have a crappy week and can't figure out why?
This used to be more often than I would like to admit.
When I started to reflect on why that happened, I made a realization.
Every bad week had one thing in common...
I missed Monday.
What do I mean by that?
Every day starts the same for me. Wake up. Train. Personal development. Get the kids out of bed. Get going to work.
But on the weeks that I struggled, it looked more like: Oversleep, scramble to get to ready, run out the door to work.
Missing Monday would lead to me making excuses the rest of the week.
"Well I missed Monday, I'll just do better next week."
"I already missed one day, might as well just throw this week away"
Etc..
So I made the decision to quit missing Monday's at all cost.
I make sure that Sunday night I get to bed at a good time, have all my stuff laid out for the next morning, and I get my week off to a great start!
If you find yourself struggling all week long, look at Sunday night and Monday, did you set yourself up for a successful week or did you start it off with a miss right away?
Let's have a great week! It's not too late to salvage this Monday and this week if you missed this morning.
As always, let me know if there's any way I can help you on your journey through life!

Into The Arena With Mike Schiff Recently I was feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious about a situation in my personal life. I kept thinking about how bad the situation was. Paralyzed by my fear and how big I had made it in my head... Then I realized something I wasn't looking at the facts. I was letting my subjective beliefs about the situation make it worse than it actually was, or needed to be. Was it less than ideal? Sure (depending on your ideal) Shifting my perspective from what I...
Into The Arena With Mike Schiff Yesterday, I wrote a thread on X (still weird to call it X instead of Twitter) about building discipline to master your own life Check it out here And while I do think the ultimate goal is to build discipline and become a disciplined man/woman There's also a need for willpower What the hell is the difference? Willpower is your ability to resist short term temptations with your long term goals in mind. Being disciplined means creating structure and routine to...
Into The Arena With Mike Schiff Life is full of challenges, setbacks, and downright difficult moments. It's easy to get discouraged, to want to throw in the towel and give up. I've been there...
